Bags inspired by Norwegian nature

Ed and Yvette La Pierre run a shop with shoes and bags in Lillehammer. Because they did not find the handbags they were looking for at other suppliers, they decided to produce them themselves.

This is the short story behind Kvitfjell Handbags AS. The Dutch couple with extensive experience in the shoe industry, moved to Norway in 2005, and were both fascinated by and in love with Norwegian nature. That is why the brand name is Natur (which is the norwegian word for nature) The products are inspired by the beautiful nature in Norway. The design is simple and functional and the colors are recognised in nature.

Good start

Norwegian design, high quality leather, good craftsmanship and good prices are the four most important pillars on which Kvitfjell Handbags builds its business. Which has proven to be very successful. Since the start in March 2017, sales have been very good. - Now we have exhibited at the Oslo Design Fair and at the Norwegian Fashion Center, and have had a great start in 2018, says Ed La Pierre.

Tests in own store

- We test new models in our own store before we adapt them in our collection, and get only nice feedback about our products. Customers who have received the goods in the store supply fairly quickly. We experience that the combination of high quality, good design and "kind" prices makes the handbags easy to sell in many different types of stores.

Many different customer types

We have many different types of customers. We sell the handbags to clothing stores, shoe stores, beauty salons, hairdressers, museums and online stores. It is extra nice for us that the Norwegian Folk Museum has taken in our handbags.

Produces in India

Yvette designs the handbags, which are manufactured in India. - We have our own factory where we manufacture our own exclusive handbags.

There is no child labor here. Skilled craftsmen make our leather bags in superb quality, and we are constantly developing new models and colors.
